Welcome to Petoskey Middle School
Learning & Growing Together
The staff of Petoskey Middle School believes that all students can learn the basic life skills necessary for the responsibilities of their adult roles. We believe and accept that it is our school's responsibility to expect all students and staff to strive for high levels of students' academic/vocational performance, and further to foster positive development of their health, citizenship, self-image and lifelong learning.

Ski and Snowboard Club
Hello Parents and Guardians,
We are excited for another year of PMS ski club. There have been important changes to the club this year. First, we have moved the club to Nub’s Nob for this season. Also, we have switched to a “a la carte” model. This means that participants will pay as they go, making the club more affordable and flexible for our students. This season only students new to snowsports need to take a lesson (last year there were mandatory lessons for all participants).
Requirements To Join : You will need all of the following:
Fill out and return the Middle School permission slip
Fill out and return Nubs Liability form
These forms should be placed in the Ski Club Bin in the office
Blank forms can be picked up in the office
Sign up for the Ski Club Remind (parents and students): https://www.remind.com/join/a32624h or parents/participants can text @a32624h to the number 81010
How Much Does it Cost?
Lift Ticket: 15 dollars
Rental: 10 dollars
Bus: Free (Nub’s Nob has offered to pay for our buses this season!)
Students who have their own season passes and gear only need to sign up for the bus. However, if a student signs up for the bus and does not show that student will need to pay a $20 dollar fine.
If you need help affording ski club, fill out the this scholarship form: Scholarship Form
When Does It Start? The Club starts Wednesday, January 8th and ends March 11th.
How Does It Work? Sundays prior to Ski nights members will receive a mandatory commitment form via Remind. Next, you will need to bring a check (payable to PMS Ski and Snowboard Club) or cash to your HR teacher to secure your seat on the bus. Responses are due by Monday at noon so we can book the appropriate amount of buses. Wednesday mornings kids bring their equipment into the storage area across from the office before school. After school, we load up gear in volunteers’ trucks and the bus goes to Nubs Nob. The bus drops the kids off and parents pick kids up from Nub’s parking lot at 8:30.
How Can I Help? Fill out all your forms and pay for the club as promptly as possible. Also, we are looking for parent volunteers to chaperone and transport gear. (Truck owners we are looking at you)!
