Notice to Families: Michigan Firearm Safe Storage Information

Under Michigan’s new laws, beginning October 1, 2025, all public, intermediate, and nonpublic schools must distribute a state-approved Safe Storage Notice annually to the parents or legal guardians of each enrolled student (as required by HB 5451 / MCL 380.1313b). 

We believe in working together to keep students safe—sharing this information is one way we support family awareness and informed decisions about home safety.
